La Ribera, also known as “the heart of the East Cape” is a small town removed
from the frantic tourist life in Cabo San Lucas. Many come to this lovely spot to visit,
vacation, live or retire and enjoy the friendly people and tropical climate.
Located approximately half way between Cabo, San Jose and La Paz and accessible via a
paved road from Mex 1. La Ribera is situated between Cabo Pulmo and Los Barriles, and
is a perfect gateway on the East Cape.
La Ribera offers beautiful secluded white sand beach that you can walk for miles. Many
come to enjoy swimming, windsurfing, shelling, and surfcasting in what the locals call
"Rooster Fish Alley".
The East Cape offers an authentic, relaxed environment to that of rural Mexico. La Ribera,
which is close in proximity to the towns of Santiago, and Los Barriles offer a number of
restaurants and shops. Yet, for a taste of the big city life both Cabo San Lucas and La Paz
are easy drives.
The Sunrises and Sunsets that are experienced here can only be described as breathtaking!
The Blue water fishing experience here in the Sea of Cortez is world-renowned.
Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Tuna, and Dorado are but a few of the types of fish caught
in these waters. Depending on the season, the fishing here is but a cast away from the beach.
