La Ribera and nearby locations such as Los Barriles have some of the top Wind Surfing and Kite Boarding
destinations in the world. The season begins in late November and
lasts through the early March. 
The consistent winds that blow parallel to the coast together with
the endless sandy beaches make the Bahia de Las Palmas a colorful
site with sails and kites. Vella Wind Surf offers wind surfing
camps for vacationers who fly in from all over the world.
The East Cape is the Bill Fishing capital of the world in the summer for Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Wahoo, & Tuna. The local hotels offer
fishing packages that include charters, lodging, and meals.
La Ribera is a short drive away from Los Cabos
airport and the city of La Paz. Costco and other large
retailers are less than an hour away which allows home builders the convenience
of securing home furnishings at reasonable prices.
